Clinical Supervision

Adria Rigg, LPC, LMFT provides clinical supervision for therapists in private practice or agency settings.  She offers individual supervision and group supervision.  In addition, secure video sessions can be provided for those who are not able to attend in person.

Adria is an Experiential oriented therapist and has training in Synergetic Play Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care.  She specializes in trauma and attachment issues with individuals, couples, and family systems.  For more information about Adria’s education, background, and experience, click here.

Adria’s approach to supervision is parallel to her process of therapy and experiential in nature.  Through attunement and empathy, Adria strives to build solid relationships with supervisees and understand their needs.   Adria and the supervisee collaborate to better understand their experience of clients, at times using role play or watching video of sessions.  They discuss cases using theoretical orientation, case conceptualization, and cultural sensitivity to determine the best interventions with clients.  Furthermore, authenticity and congruence are valued to promote an emotionally safe environment where supervisees can be vulnerable and grow.  Topics addressed in supervision include: self regulation, self care, legal/ethical issues, professional development, business development, crisis situations, theoretical orientation, case conceptualization, interventions and techniques, confidence building, self-of-the-therapist, and compassion fatigue.
